  Open Letter

I came across the SFPAC Web site in my research to recruit volunteers for a very special project. On Aug. 20, The Arc of the Capital Area will open an art studio and gallery for adults with developmental disabilities. We have taught these classes in the past, but this is the first time we will have our "own space."

This program is unique in that it pairs volunteer artists in the community to work one-on-one with a student. The studio is open from 10 a.m. - 2p.m. Wed through Saturday, and we are in great need of volunteer artists who could help during the week at least once a month.

I am trying to get the word out to as many art groups as possible. Could you please help? If I could speak at an event, or monthly meeting, or if you could even put my request in any publications you do, I would greatly appreciate it. You can also find more information at http://www.arcofthecapitalarea.org.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best, Adria Dawidczik
